Short Story: Caterpillars

In kindergarten I used to collect small yellow black caterpillars and put them in my pockets. Really all I wanted was to keep them for later. They were cool.

Something you don't realize when you are 6 or 7 is that a pocket isn't really the best place for 1 or more caterpillars. After a while I found my pants to be pretty itchy. I pulled out the once yellow and black caterpillar only it wasn't fuzzy anymore. It turned into a dark brown, almost black, dead turd looking thing as all the hair had fallen off of the poor little guy.

That was the day I realized life wasn't fair.
